To solve this problem and expedite the growth of the broader EV industry, Delta developed its Automatic Test System for Electric Vehicles and AC/DC chargers. This system covers and automates electrical tests, cable and connector temperature automatic tests, cable and connector safety tests, OBC & DC/DC tests, and AC/DC charging tests, significantly reducing the testing time from several months to several hours.
The system is able to simulate charging scenarios in testing EV chargers and communicates in mainstream CHAdeMO v0.9/v1.2/v2.0, CHAdeMO V2H_A/B, DIN70121, and ISO15118 protocols. Its patented Smart 1 test platform integrates test equipment, test flows, and user interfaces to help test engineers complete the built-in 54 sets of standard tests within several hours. The Smart 1 allows test engineers to customize test conditions and test report templates, to integrate with automated production lines and MES systems for a more flexible testing.
